Description

The second batch of Old Perth is a  blended malt whisky from Morrison & Mackay that has been matured in a trio of Sherry casks (Butts, puncheon and Hogsheads) that is a little bit richer and more complex than your usual blend. The Old Perth brand is a tribute to the city of Perth in Scotland. The label disappeared in the 1970s only to be resurrected in 2013 by independent bottlers, Morrison & Mackay.

This sherried variant allegedly includes malts from Glenfarclas, Blair Athol and Glentauchers, all matured in the three main sherry cask types: butts, puncheons and the smaller hogsheads.

Old Perth

A historic name revived for the modern whisky connoisseur, Old Perth blends some of Scotland’s finest single malts to create a rich, sherried profile that honours Perth’s legacy as the whisky blending capital. Originally crafted by Peter Thomson in 1908, Old Perth has been reimagined by Morrison Scotch Whisky Distillers, with a focus on natural presentation and exceptional cask selection.

Each expression in the range is matured exclusively in sherry casks, delivering deep fruit, warming spice, and velvety chocolate notes. Whether it’s the smooth complexity of Old Perth The Original, the rich intensity of Old Perth Cask Strength, or the bold smokiness of Old Perth Peaty, every bottle represents the craftsmanship and expertise that made Perth a hub of whisky excellence.

Discover the character and tradition of Old Perth Whisky, where Scotland’s blending legacy meets modern refinement.
