Long John

Long John whisky has a rich history tied to the legacy of its founder, "Long" John Macdonald, a legendary figure in the whisky world. He established the Ben Nevis distillery in 1825, located near Fort William, Scotland. This distillery became the birthplace of the Long John brand, which initially gained fame for its single malt, "Long John's Dew of Ben Nevis."
Over the years, Long John evolved into a blended Scotch whisky, incorporating a mix of malts from various distilleries. Known for its light, cereal notes and distinct sweetness, it has remained a popular choice among whisky enthusiasts. The brand has passed through several owners, including Seager Evans, Whitbread, and eventually Pernod Ricard, who continue to produce it today. Its primary market is France, where it enjoys a loyal following.
