Description

This single cask release has been additionally matured in an EX-MADEIRA CASK and celebrates Westminster station.

Westminster station originally opened on the District line in 1868 but was greatly expanded during the 1990s with deep-level platforms serving the Jubilee line extension from Green Park to Stratford. Designed by Michael Hopkins & Partners, the station's new architecture is an austere combination of concrete and stainless steel. Westminster is the heart of the country's government, featuring the Houses of Parliament and the Great Clock of Westminster, which contains the Great Bell, affectionately nicknamed "Big Ben".

On the nose it's rich, sun-dried fruits - figs and raisins - complemented by a hint of honeyed sweetness. As it settles, notes of roasted almonds, dark chocolate, and a subtle whiff of baked fruits emerge, alongside a light spice of cinnamon, and on the palate it's velvety with layers of fruitcake, toffee, apricots, and vanilla, while the finish is long and warming, with dried fruit and soft oak spice.

This release is one of only 242 bottles.
